Moving

Hey everyone!

I just want to apologize for the long delays in me writing. I’m currently packing and getting ready to move by the end of the month so it’s been really hectic and busy. I’m hoping after I’ve moved that I will have more time to write and really connect with you guys and hopefully even get some videos out!

For now I hope you guys enjoy this short poem!

You can also check out my poetry on Allpoetry.com under the name Angelgreen39

Speaking in Tongues

Your breath is like smoke
Hot and humid, burning up my skin.
All consuming, all around me.
You’re in all my senses, seeping through my pores
We’re speaking without the interruption of sound.
Your tongue is like the lick of a flame
Hot and sensuous on my body
My nerves hit with bolts like lightning
I gasp in a breath.
My mind freezes up
In the heat of the inferno
And I understand you perfectly
As you burn me up in flames.

The Forgotten Land

She sat on her windowsill, staring out at the blue and red sky. It was a marvelous sight. The blues and reds right next to each other but never touching. Just the right blue and red where it wasn’t clashing but looked like a dream.

Underneath the fantasy sky lay tall lush green grass. Laid out like a plush carpet, where you could lay for hours and dream of anything you could imagine. Everything around you would seem like you landed in a dream.

That’s how she had ended up here after all. From dreaming.

The trees were made of a sweet cinnamon tasting bark, and the leaves hung down in a twisted taffy fashion. Even the rocks tasted like a chocolate whoopie pie. The water tasted like water but the clearest, fresh, most thirst quenching water you had ever tasted.

Everything here was designed to draw you in, make you want to stay.

But it was all a lie.

She had ended up here from a dream. She had fallen asleep one night, outside in the forest, next to a hidden stream. She had been going there for days to think but this one night she was too tired to walk back home. When she awoke she was in this tower. This plain, rocky home with nowhere to go, nothing to do. The day she had awoken she decided to go outside and explore the area. At first everything had seemed like a dream. She had eaten from the trees, drank from the water, and laid down in the plush grass to watch the beautiful sky. And then she started to cough. It was misleading at first. Just a small cough, like happens to any of us. And then it got worse. Pretty soon she was gasping for air and she couldn’t catch her breath. She barely made it back to the tower and shut the door. She lay gasping on the floor for hours. Trying to get her air back and try to breath.

The air was in fact toxic and poisonous. Everything was designed to look tempting and relaxing so that you don’t leave. So that, by the time you realize it, it’s too late and you suffocate to death. The bodies were used to feed the monster in the woods. She had seen it, when peering out the window at night. She had hidden beneath the windowsill so it wouldn’t see her. As far as it knew, no one ever survived. It only came out at night to collect the bodies. She had tried to warn people, yelled and pounded on the window. But they couldn’t hear her and she was too afraid to go outside again. So night after night, ,week after week, month after month, she watched people fade away and the monster continue to eat. It could’ve been years and years for all she knew, she had been up in the prison for what felt like eternity.

Hey guys, this is another short story for you guys. I’m sorry if they all seem like excerpts. Sometimes I come up with what I think are really cool ideas for a story but I suck at fleshing them out into full length stories, so I usually just write as much as I can come up with. Originally I wanted to keep my ideas copyrighted so that they couldn’t be stolen but I personally think I am being selfish because, realistically, I will probably never write a book and, even if I did, my mind is so full of random twisted ideas that I’m sure I could come up with a new base concept. Therefore, if you read any of my short stories and feel inspired to write a longer version or a whole novel then feel free. I only ask two things. 1-you somehow send me a copy so that I can see what the inspiration turned into and 2-you put me in the acknowledgements. Thank you and I hope you find this inspiring, Let me know what you think.

On a side side note, on a different blog I used to do with someone, I used to do a quote of the day where I shared a quote or song/movie quote that inspired me and what I took from it. It seemed to be fairly popular there and I was wondering if anyone would be interested in that here?

Thanks and please let me know!

Self esteem

Hey guys! We all have days where we’re feeling down and not good enough and exhausted and like nothing we do is ever good enough. I was having one today. My cure? Do up your hair, put on some makeup and take 1, 20, 500 selfies. As many as it takes to feel better. If you absolutely don’t like selfies. Write and write and write until you can’t write anymore. Do a couple squats or crunches, re watch your favorite movie, treat yourself to some ice cream. Do something, anything to reset. Whether it takes 5 minutes or 5 hours. You need to be ok mentally before anything else. You come first. So, even if you do nothing else today or if you’ve been struggling to get through the whole day, just do one thing for yourself. I promise you’ll feel better.

Love you guys!

Writing Break

Hey everyone!

I know it’s been a while since I’ve written anything on here. I want to apologize to you guys. Life has just been crazy lately and getting time to actually write on my blog has been nonexistent.

I’m still not going to be able to write consistently for a while until I get things all situated. I don’t want to go into too much detail right now but I’m moving and some other things are going on so my life is a little hectic right now.

Even if I can’t write regularly I will try to keep you guys updated on things from time to time and do some creative writing as well.

As always thanks for all the support and for following my blog!

I hope you’re all doing good as well!

Overwhelmed

I’m sitting here, staring at this screen.

Words are appearing but I’m not sure I know what I mean.

My words are jumbling around in my head.

Five more minutes and I’ll forget what I said.

Maybe if I write it down.

I won’t end up as crazy as I sound.

Hey everyone! Just a short poem before the end of the night. I had a long and stressful day so I though some poetry before the end of the night might help me de-stress before bed.

Thank you for all the support!!!

Staring on the ledge, she stared out across the water.

Her heart was racing as the light searched and searched.

The fog hadn’t lifted in days but she still held out hope.

There was talk among the town about a curse.

An old evil that had been woken by their many voyages.

But still she hoped.

Three days later when there was no light coming anymore, some villagers decided to search the tower.

They looked all over and it was at the top of the tower, where the flame had been extinguished, that they found her.

Her body looked like she was sleeping. She was beautiful even in death.

Everything was perfectly serene, except for her eyes.

Her eyes were wide open in terror, staring at some point beyond them.

Staring at the forever extinguished light, just like the light lost from her eyes.

Untitled (Part 2)

Her guest couldn’t see her right away from where she was standing. And it was probably for the best. She should try to at least get to know her company before he tried to run away.

Her guest was a handsome man from the village who was still looking for a young bride. That thought amused her. When he saw what she looked like he’d wish he’d never come to the castle. In fact he’d probably be fit to be single for all of his days.

He went to turn around as she entered the room.

“Please, I’d rather us not face each other just yet.”

“Well, if you’re sure madam. Of course.”

He turned back to his original seated position and began to drink the wine that was placed in front of him. In a few minutes he fell off his chair as the sleeping agent set in.

She sighed. She had hoped he would last a little longer than the other ones. Long enough for a decent discussion.

She whistled and her “pet” came and drug him to the dungeon where the other ones where as well. Pet was a loose word for a 7ft tall beast with claws as sharp as daggers and teeth like little knives. It was her partner in fact. Her lover, changed before they had had the chance to get married. Of course in this state his beautiful words that had once waxed poetic to her in the early light of the morning was now reduced to growls and grunts. He did anything she asked, as he had as a human. But she still felt a tug of guilt as he dragged this newest mortal to the dungeon.

Finally, as she headed back into the hall to head back upstairs, she looked in the full length mirror. Her shaggy hair had changed into a long black mane. Her nails and teeth, the same as that of her lover. She thought back upon that day. The happiest and worst day of her life.

The day her and her lover had been cursed.

*************************************************************************************And that is part 2! I will hopefully have part 3 up soon. This took a different turn than I had originally intended but I think I like this better.

Thank you for all the support and continued following!

Part 1 (untitled)

She twirled around in the mirror one more time. She still didn’t like the dress but everyone had insisted that she looked great. She thought it clashed with the red in her hair. And the satin was far too delicate.

She sighed and started carefully making her way down the stairs. The vines had grown over the handrail and she wasn’t used to walking like this. The servants were quite displeased that she was shoeless, but she had had no choice.

She made her way to the bottom of the stairway and faced the marred full length mirror in front of her. The walls in this landing were huge panels of glass used to make the place appear bigger, even though it was big enough without all the ornate details. The rug along the floor was still majestic, even though it was ripped in numerous places, you could still make out the gold woven into the fibers and the scenes pictured. There were waterfalls and gorgeous wood scenes, animals flitting around in the forest and majestic mountain scenes stretching the whole hallway.

The sight granted her some peace before she remembered her destination and started making her way to the room at the end of the hallway. Every step that she took felt heavier, like she was trying to walk through quicksand. She knew she should feel excited, that this should be a positive experience. But the view in the mirror, what she saw looking back at her, was at the forefront of her mind. She could think of nothing else as she was walking and, more than once, she considered turning back and running back upstairs. The reminder that hers wasn’t the only fate at stake steeled her nerve enough to keep her going.

After what seemed like hours she finally reach the ornate wooden door. This, too, had gold inlaid into it. The wood was carved at the top into a majestic lion head, forever in the middle of roaring. the doorknob had once held a wondrous emerald gemstone, before the castle had fallen into ruin and her father had sold almost everything of value he could find, before he had perished. He had only been trying to protect her but she still felt a twinge of anger as she dwelt on the memory. She reached her hand out to the doorknob and took a deep breath as she turned it and pushed it open into the great hall.

Hey everyone! So I’m writing a story that I suddenly got inspiration for today and I’m writing it in parts so like and/or comment if you want to read the next part of it!

Thank you for all the support and advice I really appreciate it!

Turning into a Monster

2030-

As we knew them Vampires didn’t exist…but, in another form, they were very much real. Thin pale skin, blood red eyes, nails like carving knives on the end of their fingers. They were nothing like the romantic, smiling, sparkling creatures the world had been admiring on the screen and in their books.

Scientists weren’t sure what caused or created them. No one knew if they began that way or something more like us. No one knew whether it was magic or a virus or evolution. How they began however had no effect on how dangerous they were. They had been wiping out the human race, countries at a time. The feudal class system had returned and who had been determined the elite of our society was hidden behind high, impenetrable walls while the rest of us were left to be slaughtered. Every branch of the military was in action. All over they were trying to figure out how to combat these monsters. Of course, everything in fiction was wrong. They attacked during the day, silver had no effect on them, garlic seemed ridiculous. Unfortunately the only thing the tales had gotten right is that they seemed to be immortal. Beheading them did work, but good luck getting close enough to behead one. They had lightning quick reflexes and were deadly.

As aforementioned no one knew how they came to be…but I knew they were like us once. Living and breathing humans. With feelings like love…and remorse. With families. How did I, just a commoner among the new hierarchy system, know all this information? I was turning into one. I first noticed when I had a dull, aching pain in my gums. Like a toothache starting up. The very next day as I was looking in the mirror I noticed it. The tip of a fang poking out.

Now, just two days later. I could see my skin paling, getting thinner. My pupils had gotten red to the point I needed to wear contacts. I had to hide it as long as I could. Long enough to tell the Emperor. You see, I was one of them. I knew how they evolved into their form. However, because I was turning into one, I also knew something vital to the survival of all mankind. To the survival of my loved ones…I knew how to kill them.

Writing Prompt Short Story

an angel meticulously plans a criminal act with a monster

Ok so above is my writing prompt and below will be the story. I decided to try something new. If any of my followers have any writing prompts that they’d like me to use to write a short story let me know in the comments! Thank you!

*************************************************************************************

Sabella paced back and forth. Well I guess hovered would be the better term as her wings were fluttering at the speed of light and keeping her floating above the ground. She looked at the old and rusted clock on the wall for the thirtieth time in the past five minutes. “Where is that stupid troll?” she thought out loud. She shouldn’t even be here. She should be lounging on a cloud and pouring rain through the western hemisphere. Not here in this dirty, old, abandoned train station waiting to help a troll rob the palace.

Finally she heard shuffling through the halls. The green troll rounded the corner. At 8 feet tall, he had to duck under the ancient arches. His skin was scaly and rough and he had a slimy ooze running down his body at a steady rate. He walked towards Sabella at such a slow rate that she started hovering even higher as her anxiety grew. Each second longer that she was there she got more anxious. Constantly looking around and even up to make sure no one was there. Finally Glert, the troll, got to Sabella and looked up at her. She immediately launched into a million questions.

“How did it go? Did you talk to the council? Did you explain exactly what we were doing? OhMyGod are we really DOING what we’re doing? Should we not do what we’re thinking about doing? How’s my brother? Did you see my brother? Oh God what if they don’t even HAVE my brother? Are you sure they have my brother?” She finally took a deep breath and stopped her tirade, looking at Glert expectantly.

He very slowly blinked before simply replying, “Are you ready?” In a loud and brutish voice.

Sabella deflated. It was apparent she wasn’t going to get any answers out of Glert.

“Yes, yes I..I suppose we better go.”

She followed Glert out of the train station and into the dark night. Right in front of the palace. “Are…are you sure there isn’t anything you and your brother would like more than the royal jewels? A shiny precious stone perhaps…from a river? An unguarded river even?”

Glert just grunted and kept moving forward. Sabella sighed and waited for Glert to do his part in this heist. As he started throwing rocks at the palace, Sabella glided into the palace through the door that the guards left open as they ran after what they thought were children. She just hoped Gert didn’t hurt them….or worse. She glided silently and invisible through the palace and took the royal jewels, easier than a kid reaching into a cookie jar. As per their plan she left the palace and returned to the abandoned train station. There she found Glert already waiting…covered in blood.

“Oh…oh did you have to kill them?” Sabella cried. She collapsed to the ground holding her heart. The death of humankind always pained her.

Glert just grunted again. “Jewels.”

“Wha..oh, oh right. Very well. That’s all you care about. All you wanted anyway.” Sabella threw the jewels at Glerts feet. He picked them up gingerly. The most gentle movement Sabella had ever seen him make. After inspecting them for a minute he nodded and seemed satisfied.

Sabella spoke up, “Now…now that I have upheld the part of my bargain, I want my brother back.”

Glert looked at her for a moment before nodding. He started walking deeper into the tunnel and Sabella took is as a sign to follow. She followed Glert to a big iron door that she hadn’t known was there. Glert knocked 5 times in a rhythmic pattern and the door opened. Inside she couldn’t see anyone or anything that had opened the door. In here were more doors than she could ever imagine. Gert led her to a tall heavy one that looked enchanted. As she approached she felt herself getting weaker. The enchantment was to suppress magic. Gert opened the door and stood aside.

Sabella looked hesitantly inside. “Gabriel?” she called into the room. Her voice echoed letting her know how large the room was. She took a couple more steps in and suddenly the door clanged shut behind her. She immediately rushed back to the door and started banging on it.

“Glert! Glert! Open the door! We had a deal!” she screamed. She yelled and yelled but the door stayed shut. She walked to the back of the room and searched around. It was big and round…and extremely empty.  She got to the last corner of the room and gasped. There, on the floor, was her brother Gabriel. He was dead. She sobbed and fell against the floor. Facing the same fate as her dear brother.

*************************************************************************************Alternate ending:

Sabella looked hesitantly inside the large room. “Gabriel, are you in there?” She heard no response. Her voice echoed letting her know how large the room was. She looked back at Glert who stood motionless and hesitantly took a few more steps into the dark room. Immediately she heard the heavy metal door shut behind her.

“Glert! Open the door! Please! We had a deal! Please, I just want my brother back!”

Suddenly through the small space in the door her brother, Gabriel appeared.

“Gabriel! Oh I am so happy you’re ok! Please, open the door so we can get out of here and go home!” She cried with relief. They’d finally be going back home. After a moment though she realized the door wasn’t opening. She looked at her brother still standing there.

“Gabriel…why aren’t you opening the door? Please!”

Gabriel turned away from her, “I am sorry sister…goodbye.”

The small opening in the door was shut as Gabriel walked away.

“NO! No Gabriel please! Come back! Please!” Sabella sobbed, banging against the heavy door. She pounded at the door, the tears flowing freely. After what seemed like ages she slid down onto the cold hard floor. She would never escape from this room.

*************************************************************************************So that’s my story for the writing prompt, I hope you all liked it. I couldn’t decide which ending I liked better so I decided to put them both up. Let me know in the comments which you liked better! And, as always, have a good night!
